NEIGHBOURHOOD DESCRIPTION
The name comes from the sugar cane fields that are no longer in that area. Nowadays, there are only polo fields. This neighborhood offers best of both worlds: it is residential and quiet enough so that it doesn't feel too urban, but close enough to the city to still enjoy it. The subway takes you to Plaza de Mayo in about 20 minutes.
Las Cañitas features a big park and installations for outdoor activities, such as golf, field hockey, rugby, horse races, and tennis. Báez street is the epicenter of the nightlife, lined with restaurants and bars.
